Wabash Valley – Duke Energy has awarded $73,000 in grants to organizations that support Indiana Veterans and active-duty military member.  Four organizations in the Wabash valley were recipients of grants.  $3,000 went to the Eliza Rizley Stacey Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution in Clay County for the Vietnam Traveling Memorial Wall.  The Friends of Ernie Pyle Development Fund in Vermillion County was awarded $10,000 for the Ernie Pyle and Veterans Memorial Park. $5,500 went to the United Way of the Wabash Valley in Vigo County to support the local Veterans Museum.  The City of Vincennes in Knox County received $5,500 for the All-Weather Firing Squad, a group of veterans that provides a 21-gun salute for veterans’ funerals in the Knox County community.
