The City Of Terre Haute Still Addressing The Crow Problem

Terre Haute, In. – Over the years many attempts have been made to eradicate the crow problem in Terre Haute. With the crows comes cleaning/maintenance costs and health risks of fecal matter. The Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce has hired Wild Goose Chase a firm from Chicago that offers Humane Solutions for Conflicts Between Birds and People. The Wild Goose Chase team of experts, including biologists and construction specialists, are doing study downtown to find ways to address the crow issue. They say the Scarecrow method using inflatable animated tall boys on buildings which over time the crows adjust to.  Wild Goose Chase is looking at deterrents such as lasers and scents such as the smell of grapefruit that crows don’t like. The company will provide a report on their finding in the spring.
