Clay Community School Software Hacked

Clay County, In. – Clay Community School Superintendent Timothy Rayle says that the “Power School” software the school corporation used was hacked on December 22nd.  The school corporation was notified of the breach on January 7th.  They say that social security numbers and other personal information of 9th-12th grade students were stolen. “Power School had a maintenance program through which the password was stolen. A letter has been sent to each person affected and “Power School” will contact them as well with resources to monitor their date.
