Parke County Teen Arrested After High Speed Chase

Montezuma, In. – Sunday evening Parke County Deputies were taking a report at a residence near Montezuma when they observed a vehicle driving recklessly in the area.  They hopped into their patrol car and gave chase.  While trying to stop the car speeds of over 70 MPH were reached.  The Deputies located the car in Clinton and were able to pull it over. The car which had front end damage was driven by a 17-year-old male juvenile. He told the deputies he had hit a deer and damaged the front end.  During conversation with the officers, he displayed multiple signs of impairment.  He was arrested and charged with Operating a vehicle while Intoxicated, Reckless Driving, and Minor Consumption of Alcohol.
