Senate Appropriations Committee To Hear Casino Bill Today

TERRE HAUTE, Ind.  – The bill that could bring a casino to Terre Haute will go before the Senate Appropriations Committee.
Senate Bill 552 would move one casino license from Gary to Terre Haute.
Senator Jon Ford (R- Terre Haute) authored the bill and he also sits on the appropriations committee.
The public policy committee passed it unanimously two weeks ago.
This same bill would also legalize sports gaming in the state.
If passed, Senate Bill 552 would move to the full Senate.
