VIGO COUNTY, Ind. – A member of Citizens for Better Government gave county commissioners a list of questions last week and on Tuesday, the commissioners gave written answers to those questions.
Those questions deal with the process and planning for a new jail.
The main concern was transparency and communication from the commissioners.
Also of concern was staffing requirements for a new facility.
Currently an additional 24 jailers have been approved to answer court concerns and provide adequate staffing. So far 17 of those positions have been filled.
