Indiana Man Charged With Driving Drunk In Fatal Michigan Buggy Crash

BRANCH COUNTY, Mich – A pickup truck slammed into a horse-drawn carriage on a rural southern Michigan road Friday, ejecting its seven Amish occupants.

Two children, ages 6 and 2, died at the scene in Algansee Township southeast of Battle Creek.

A third child, age 4, was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries and later died.

A 3-year-old child and adult woman suffered major injuries.

Police say that the pickup driver 21-year-old Tyler Frye of Angola, Indiana was intoxicated and was arrested at the scene.

Her is being held on multiple charges, including three counts of operating while under the influence causing death.
