INDIANA – Unemployment numbers from the Department of Workforce Development show that several Wabash Valley Counties have some of the highest in the state.
Vermillion County has the highest unemployment in the state at 4.5%.
Sullivan County is in fourth place at 3.8% followed by Vigo County in 7th place at 3.7% and Greene County is in ninth place 3.6%.
Parke County is in 14th position with unemployment at 3.3%, Clay County is in the 26th position at 3.1%.
Dubois County has the lowest unemployment in the state at 2.1%
