PARIS, Ill.  – Police in Edgar County, Illinois have wrapped up a month-long investigation with the arrest of a local woman who is accused of stealing close to $2,000.

Allegedly Elizabeth Sablotny stole the money by writing checks to herself from the Edgar County Association for Home and Community Education.

Sablotny was the treasurer of the organization.

She is being held on a charge of theft by deception.
