PUTNAM COUNTY, Ind – The driver of a team van was apparently in a big hurry Wednesday.

Indiana State Police stopped the vehicle for traveling 97 mph in a 70 mph zone near the 55 mile maker on I-70.

Public information officer Matt Ames says that the driver, Amos C Nun Sung of Lewisville, Texas was transporting 14 young children from Texas to a volleyball tournament in Indianapolis.

Sung said he was in a hurry to get to the tournament.

He was cited and ordered to appear in court,
