PARKE COUNTY, Ind – Thursday morning (8/1/19) a Parke County Deputy spotted a truck matching the description of a truck that was recently reported stolen in Vigo County.

The driver refused to stop and led police on a chase and nearly crashed with an off-duty state police trooper at US 41 and Lambert Avenue.

The chase came to an end when 34-year-old Shane M. Jenkins of Rosedale ran off the road and into a yard.

Jenkins is being charged with Auto Theft, Resisting Law Enforcement, Reckless Driving and warrant for Auto Theft.

He is now being held in the Parke county jail.
