Man On Parole Arrested For Allegedly Pointing Gun At Student And School Bus

VERMILLION COUNTY, Ind – Vermillion County Police have arrested a Cayuga man for allegedly pointing a gun at a student and school bus.

Thursday (8/8/19) around 12:45p.m. Officers were notified by officials at North Vermillion High School of a male at the intersection of 4th and Poplar who pointed a gun at a student and the bus.

The suspect was identified as 23 year old Nicholas K. Lamb of Cayuga.

Police say that he is on parole for previous offenses.

Officers contacted the Indiana Department of Corrections Parole Division and they dispatched two agents to assist in the investigation.

Officers located Lamb at his residence on Second St. in Cayuga and police say that he admitted to pointing a BB gun at the student and the bus.

During a search of his residence, agents located paraphernalia and an illegal substance.

Lamb was taken to the Vermillion County Jail where he was booked on charges of pointing a firearm, intimidation, possession of paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance.

Lamb is being held at the Vermillion County Jail with no bond and is being held for the parole division of the Indiana Department of Corrections.
