Local Police Arrest Man Accused Of Meth Trafficking

EDGAR COUNTY, Ill.  – Police in Edgar and Clark Counties in Illinois have arrested a man accused meth trafficking.

Edgar County Sheriff’s deputies say they worked with Clark County sheriff’s deputies to arrest Christopher Asbury on a federal warrant.

Police say that this has been a case that has spanned well over a year. Local officers have worked with DEA Agents from a multi state area, the Edgar County States Attorney and the US Attorney’s office in Urbana on what officers are calling a major methamphetamine trafficking case.Asbury was indicted by a Federal Grand Jury on September 4th this year in Urbana and an Arrest Warrant was issued.

He is currently in the custody of the U.S. Marshals.
