VERMILLION COUNTY, Ind – Wednesday afternoon around 1:30 p.m. the School Resource Officer for North Vermillion Community Schools went to the North Vermillion Elementary School on a call about a male who appeared to be under the influence asking for access to the school.
School staff refused and the male then left the parking lot in a Silver Chevy truck.
Vermillion County Deputies stopped the truck on SR 63.
33-year-old Seth J. Cornwell of Newport was arrested after failing Field Sobriety Tests and driving on a revoked driver’s license.
Testing at a local hospital showed that Cornwell tested positive for Canniboids.
Marijuana was also found inside the truck.
