TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Vigo County Commissioners are asking for potential investors to submit their plan for the former International Paper property on the south side.

Since it’s government-owned property, Commissioners will have the final say on what is done on the site.

Potential investors have until October 11th to submit their plans for what they want to build on the nearly 60-acre site.

Commissioner Brendan Kearns stressed that they are looking for investors who want to build something for the good of the community.

Kearns said that the property won’t be sold. They are asking investors to build in collaboration with the county. The county owns the property, yet this isn’t a government investment. This is a private investment partnership with the government.
