TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – An overnight fire in Terre Haute at the intersection of 18th Street and Wabash Avenue remains under investigation.
The fire started around 10:00 p.m.
The ground floor has been the site of several different bars and other businesses over the years. There were apartments on the second floor.
There were four people inside the building. Two jumped out of the second-floor windows to safety. Two others suffered from smoke inhalation.
Due to the extensive damage the building is in the process of being demolished.
A cause of the blaze has not yet been determined.
