TERRE HAUTE, Ind – A Terre Haute man facing child pornography charges will spend 15 years on probation.
50-year-old Michael Perkins pleaded guilty to five counts of possession of child pornography as part of a plea agreement.
Perkins was arrested in November 2018 after Terre Haute Police were contacted by Pennsylvania police.
They were investigating inappropriate online conversations between Perkins and a 14-year-old boy.
Forensic examination of his electronic devices found hundreds of photos of males and females from pre-teen to infant engaging in sex acts,
As part of the deal the state agreed to ask for no more than 15 years on prison.
On Friday he was sentenced by Judge John Roach to 15-years on probation.
