CLAY COUNTY, Ind. – A local school corporation is dealing with an increase in pneumonia cases.
Clay Community Schools made a post on the corporation’s Facebook page reporting that parents of pre-school through 12th-grade students have seen several diagnosed with pneumonia.
Several adult cases have also been reported.
The corporation says it has taken extra cleaning precautions to reduce the spread of the disease.
Parents are asked to keep children home from school if they have symptoms like chills, fever, headache, earache, pain in the chest, and cough until they have been seen by their doctor.
