VIGO COUNTY, Ind. – The Vigo County Commissioners have approved an agreement with Greene County.

That agreement sets the parameters for housing Vigo County Jail inmates at the Greene County Jail.

Due to overcrowding at the Vigo County jail, several inmates must be kept at jails in other locations around the state.

Previously these agreements were just between sheriffs and jails were less formal. As the need continues, it was thought to be a good idea to make these agreements more formal.
