SULLIVAN COUNTY, Ind – The Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office was brought up to full staff Wednesday, as two new deputies were sworn in by Circuit Court Judge Robert E. Hunley.

Deputy Cole Boatright, a 2016 graduate of Marshall (IL) High School, attended Indiana State University, where he earned a Bachelors Degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice. He also earned a Minor in Law Enforcement.

Cole completed his college internship with the Clay County (IN) Sheriff’s Office, where he was later hired as a Correctional Officer.

Prior to beginning his law enforcement career he also was a heavy equipment operator in Marshall.

Cole currently lives in southern Vigo County and is home shopping in Sullivan County.

Cole said he is excited to start his law enforcement career and meet new people throughout our community.

Also sworn in Wednesday was Deputy Greg Kreilein.

Greg graduated from Northeast Dubois High School in 2014.

He graduated from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale (IL), earning a degree in Animal Science.

He is an Eagle Scout and currently serves as a Combat Medic with the Indiana National Guard, holding the rank of Specialist.

Greg recently bought a home just outside the city of Sullivan.

Greg says that he feels honored to serve and protect the citizens of Sullivan County, and looks forward to getting out into the community.

It is anticipated that Cole and Greg will attend the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy in January, along with Deputy Collin Berg, who joined the force earlier this summer.
