INDIANAPOLIS — Indiana lawmakers are making health care costs a key issue during the 2020 legislative session.

The Indiana Hospital Association is working with lawmakers to address pricing transparency and surprise billing protections.

House Speaker Brian Bosma says some lawmakers are sure to make the nonprofit status of hospitals part of the discussion as well.

Last month, the Trump administration announced a transparency rule that requires hospitals to publish their standard prices online.
