CLAY COUNTY, Ind – A Terre Haute woman has been released on her own recognizance after being arrested on charges of public nudity, resisting law enforcement and possession of marijuana.

Brazil City Police were called to the local Walmart on a report of domestic dispute last week.

When officers arrived, there were no signs of anything wrong, but a woman did come out of a nearby grassy area.

Brazil Police Chief Clint McQueen said that 47-year-old Dixie King admitted to officers that she and her boyfriend argued, and she had hit him. She then requested to be allowed to change clothes since she had urinated in her pants.

Officers could smell alcohol and informed her that before she could leave, she would need to take a breath test.

At that point King got out of her car naked from the waist down, urinated on the ground, argued with officers and dropped to the ground and began to resist. That is when she was arrested.

A trial date was set for early next year.
