EDGAR COUNTY, Il – A death investigation is underway in Edgar County, Illinois.

A press release from the Edgar County Coroner and Sheriff states that around 8:30 a.m. Saturday morning (1/18/20) a Paris woman was discovered dead outside a rural Chrisman residence.

A caller told 911 dispatchers around 10:30 a.m. that he had discovered a female friend of his unresponsive in his yard. He told officials that he had last seen her shortly after midnight.

45 yaer old Neva A. Martin, of Paris was pronounced dead by Edgar County Coroner Scott Barrett.

Official cause of death is pending an autopsy to be performed Monday morning in Bloomington, Illinois.
