INDIANA – You’ll soon have a chance to fish for free without a license in state waters.

The Indiana Department of Natural Resources will have four free fishing days later this year. They are scheduled for May 3, June 6-7, and September 26.

If you don’t know how to fish, you can learn through the Learn to Fish program. There are two Family Learn to Fish events on free fishing days: June 6 and 7. The June 6 event will be in Seymour. The June 7 event will happen in Terre Haute.

Typically, a fishing license or a trout/salmon stamp is needed to fish in state waters.

If you’d like to get a license or take part in a fishing workshop, go to the Indiana Department of Natural Resources website.
