MARSHALL, Ill. – At a special public meeting held Friday afternoon in Marshall, Illinois. The Clark County board voted 6 to 1 in favor of reopening the county and allowing citizens to return to work.
Even though Governor JB Pritzker has ordered the stay at home order to remain in effect until the end of the month.
Officials say that they are not telling anyone to do anything; they are simply giving citizens the option to choose.
The resolution is for unincorporated areas of Clark County.
Recommendations for retail businesses, restaurants, and other places include wearing masks, taking temperatures daily, maintaining social distance, and allowing only 50% capacity.
Each city within Clark County has the choice to support the county’s resolution or stick with the State of Illinois’ guidelines.
The Marshall City Council will meet Monday and a vote is expected to taken on whether or not to support the measure.
