SULLIVAN, Ind. — People who live in Sullivan might lose their curbside recycling service.

According to News 10, Mayor Clint Lamb says the city and Republic Trash Services, who they partner with, are threatening to take away the free service because people aren’t using it correctly, as 60 to 70 percent of the materials are contaminated.

“We’re encouraging our residents to recycle the correct way. Do not put glass in there. Do not put your electronics, computers, and sweepers in there,” Lamb said.

Recycling pick-up in the city is every other Friday. Trash is picked up every Monday and Tuesday.
