PARKE COUNTY, Ind.  — Some Parke County residents were evacuated Tuesday afternoon when a gas line was ruptured by a falling tree.

Repair crews were called in and residents could return to their homes after a few hours.

It happened on Lambert Avenue between US 41 and Rosedale.
