Terre Haute, In. – Saturday’s Legislative Crackerbarrel at the Vigo County Public Library centered around what is seen as a controversial Indiana House bill on education, which critics… mainly Democrats… say would impede or discourage teachers from doing their jobs. Others… mainly Republicans…. say it’s needed because it allows parents to have more active roles regarding what teachers teach their kids. It passed the Indiana House in January by 60-37 and is now in Senate committee. If passed, the bill would make teachers post their curriculum online.
