Terre Haute, In. – The cause of a fire that was called in around 3am on Monday remains under investigation today. Flames destroyed a vacant commercial building formerly occupied by the Cricket Box furniture store in the 2500 block of Wabash Avenue of Terre Haute. About an hour after firefighters got the first calls, the front of the building collapsed. Traffic flow was brought to a stop and traffic lights went dark. Drivers were detoured as water hosed connected to hydrants crossed the streets.
