Small Plane Makes An Emergency Landing In Clay County Field

Clay Country, In. – The pilot of a Piper PA-28 airplane conducted an emergency landing in a Clay County field about nine miles southeast of Terre Haute International Hulman Field Airport Saturday afternoon.  The pilot, Michael Lehmkuhl was alone on the plane and was flying from Minnesota to Bloomington when he began to lose engine power.  Knowing he may not make it to Hulman field he was able to set the plane down safely in the Clay County Field.
