Vigo County, In. – One person is dead following a vehicle crash in northwestern Vigo County that happened around noon Wednesday in the area of U.S. 150 and North Grissom Place. Emergency responders answered the initial call about a single-vehicle accident with entrapment. After they arrived, the driver of the vehicle, 48 year old Michael Harrington of Shelburn In. was pronounced dead at the scene. According to the sheriff, so far it appears that excessive speed was involved. Harrington’s vehicle went down an embankment, through thick vegetation, and slammed into a tree.
