Vigo County, In. – A large group of people… many waving American flags … faced traffic moving below the Fruitridge Avenue and Darwin Road overpasses on Interstate 70 Tuesday afternoon in Vigo County, to show their support for the so-called “People’s Convoy” of big rigs. The overpass demonstration backed up, but did not stop, traffic on Fruitridge, as those who participated signaled vehicles when they should access the one available lane. The protest was peaceful in support of the convoy of truckers that aims to arrive in Washington D.C this week, to protest vaccine and mask mandates. Vigo County Commissioner Mike Morris of Morris Trucking, called the demonstration a “celebration of freedom.”
