Vigo County, In. – Vigo County Parks and Recreation Department celebrated the grand opening of Ruble Park on Sunday. The 800-acre park features 200 acres of prairie and wildflowers and 10 miles of trails. Ivy Tech Community College Terre Haute will serve as the trailhead and main entrance to the park. After cutting a long piece of grass symbolizing a ribbon, more than 50 people took part in Ivy Tech’s 5K. Ivy Tech has plans to extend Ruble Park paths onto the west side of it’s campus leading to Dixie Bee Elementary in the near future.
