Rockville, In. – Police in Rockville have received reports of a scam that targets people looking for a place to live. The Rockville Police Department says a person on Facebook is claiming they have a house for rent. The scammer has the potential victim fill out the application – even taking the deposit or application fee. In reality, someone else owns the home or has recently bought it. It’s not for rent. To avoid this scam, sthe deprtment says Tour the property and Meet the seller or landlord in person.
